UPCOMING EVENTS
Lent and easter begin on the later side in 2025, beginning with ash wednesday, march 5th
If you have ever wondered why Easter moves around on the calendar, it is because the date is determined by a lunar calendar. Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox. This puts Easter Day, 2025, on April 20, rather late in the cycle. Lent will begin on Ash Wednesday, March 5th, and continue for 40 days (not including Sundays, which are celebrated year-round as resurrection day and Sabbath).
join pastor seese and his friend, Mary lane Potter, for a conversation about her new book, “The Body leads the way”
On Sunday evening, March 2nd, at 5:00 p.m., you are invited to a reception for the launch of Mary Lane Potter’s new book, “The Body Leads the Way: Ritual, Liminality, and Imagination”. Mary is a friend of Pastor Lee, a former seminary professor, and a writer. She and Pastor Lee will have a dialogue about her book, following the reception at 6:00 p.m., in the sanctuary.
