UPCOMING EVENTS

Lent and easter begin on the later side in 2025 — see the holy week and easter worship schedule here

If you have ever wondered why Easter moves around on the calendar, it is because the date is determined by a lunar calendar. Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox. This puts Maundy Thursday on April 17th (worship in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m.), Good Friday on April 18th (worship in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m.), and Easter Day, 2025, on April 20th (worship in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m.).

may 18th congregational meeting to include election of ruling elders and transition updates

At its May 18th, 2025, meeting, the congregation of MBPPC will elect ruling elders to serve on the church session (board) in the classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028. All active members of the congregation are encouraged to attend. Pastor Seese will also provide updates on the transition in pastoral leadership, and how everyone can assist in this transition, after he retires on September 7th.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, when in-person worship was suspended, Pastor Seese created an online series of Scripture readings, prayers, music, and sermons. These are now archived on Youtube.

Pre-recorded sermons from March 15, 2020, through August 8, 2021, with a Scripture reading, prayer, and music, can be found at the Youtube channel “MBPPC Backyard Preacher”.

Peace be with you.
