Psalm 27:1, 4-9
We continue to read from the Psalms, and hear the Word preached from them, as we move through the season after Epiphany. This Sunday, the Psalm is Psalm 27:1, 4-9.
Read the whole Psalm. When I was waiting (almost six weeks) to hear whether or not I was called to serve as pastor at MBPPC, Psalm 27:14 was my daily prayer.
Meditate on Psalm 27:1. It is a wonderful and complete devotion in itself. Reflect on whom, or what, you fear. Invite God into your fear.
Find a quiet time and place in your day. Let the imagery of Psalm 27:4-9 evoke in your imagination a picture of a “temple” where you can “behold the beauty of the Lord” (verse 4). Have you ever regarded the Lord as beautiful?
