let us give God thanks

As 2024 comes to a close, we at MBPPC have so much to be grateful for!

We have worshiped every Sunday and on holidays, blessed by a beautiful sanctuary to gather in, with inspiring music provided by our choir, Tim Beggs, and a variety of guest musicians. We have heard God’s Word and shared the Eucharist in the power of God’s Holy Spirit.

We have made thousands of sandwiches for Rainier Valley Food Bank; provided supplies, food, learning, and festivity for the residents of True Hope Tiny House Village; made healthy, appetizing dinners for thousands of people at Operation Nightwatch; supported the medical care of vulnerable children through Hope Central; offered a comfortable place for Metro bus drivers to use in indoor restroom and partake of snacks and beverages; and lifted the lives of countless people in need through our prayers and individual acts of service.

We have taught and included children in Sunday worship, Vacation Bible School, Confirmation, and the Christmas Pageant.

And we have enjoyed spiritual friendships through Bible studies, the Galship, dinner groups, our Appreciation Luncheon and Old Time Gospel Sunday, and many informal gatherings.

We close 2024 as good stewards of a sound building and a balanced budget. And we begin 2025 the same way.

With all that is challenging and even frightening in the world today, let us give God thanks, and never overlook the treasure that is called Mount Baker Park Presbyterian Church.

Christmas and New Year’s Blessings,

Pastor Lee Seese
