Our Spiritual Giving Campaign
It’s time for the annual MBPPC Spiritual Giving Campaign. This is the two-week stretch of time when we seek commitments from everyone in the MBBPC worshipping community so that we can continue our vibrant ministry and mission throughout 2025.
The commitments we seek honor the Biblical tradition of setting aside a portion of one’s resources with gratitude to God for all the gifts and abilities with which God has blessed us. This includes the gift of time. Each person (or family) is called to give:
Money
Skills and abilities
Time
so that worship, learning, serving, and growing in spiritual friendships can be the strong core of who we are. How much is the right amount to give? That is between each person and God. So prayer is a key first step in discerning how much you can give. In the Bible, 10% of your resources is the amount stated (called a tithe). We have long-challenged people to give 5% of their income, abilities and time (that equals 1.2 hours a day, in case you wonder!).
Our Spiritual Giving Campaign formally begins on Sunday, October 6. However, watch for the giving materials in the sanctuary and sent to you via email. You can make your commitment anytime up until we dedicate these commitments to God on October 20.
With gratitude for the generous community at MBPPC,
Lee
